Every demon outside of Hell heard about the bounty placed on the Winchester boy.
He’d be easy pickings in his grief. He was the one who rejected his hunter training, who wanted a normal life. He hadn’t embraced Azazel’s gifts like the others. So they swarmed eagerly, wanting the bragging rights of being the one who sent Sam Winchester to join his foolish brother. The reward would be power and glory at Lilith’s right hand.
They did not expect a hard eyed man armed with salt, holy water, devil’s traps, and a power far beyond Lilith’s sending them to Hell.
