She didn't understand why disappeared. His absence had made her miserable. But now he was back. She was happy again.
His voice greeted her by speaking one of her pet names, not the stony silence of his brother who had been driving her since he disappeared.
His hands lovingly caressed her wheel as they hit the road at an illegal and unnecessary speed. Not only because they had a place to be, but the rush of speed always made them feel truly alive.
Best of all, he tossed the iPod with its damned lite rock music in the back seat.
