Pamela knew about demon’s forms when they weren’t wrapped in flesh. Menacing clouds of smoke oozing oily malevolence. She figured when Bobby showed up, that was what she would be dealing with.
He warned her to turn back. But she pressed on, guessing his nature. She knew he wouldn’t appear as a chubby cheeked winged baby. She expected a cloud of light, a blaze of glory, mirroring the holiness the demonic had shed. She saw all that and more.
Castiel’s true form didn’t destroy Pamela’s sight because it was too terrible for mortal eyes to behold.
It was too beautiful.
