Chapter One Hundred Fifty

She blinked her eyes open, the room still cloaked in darkness. Staring up at the barely visible ceiling, she tried to clear her head before glancing at the clock. It was still early, and for a moment she wondered why she wasn't hearing her mother downstairs. Until she realized that the cab had come to pick her mother up hours ago. Suddenly smiling, she took a moment to make sure the baby monitors were both set to loud volume before turning over in Anton's embrace. Although he was still softly snoring, she kissed his lips firmly.

His snore cutting off, Anton tightened his arms around her waist as his head automatically tilted forward. He gently pressed his lips against hers. Warm hands gently roamed over her back as his eyes blinked open.
